Main principle
Advertising should support the free model, not become the main design constraint. The most useful part of a page should still feel like the reason the page exists.
Where ads may appear
- After core content blocks on guides and hubs.
- After the useful result area on calculators, not inside it.
- In clearly marked sponsored spaces that are visually separate from editorial content.
Where ads should not appear
- Inside calculator input panels.
- Inside primary result summaries or the key decision metrics.
- In ways that interrupt understanding of tax rules, thresholds or routing guidance.
Sponsored content and affiliate links
The site should clearly label sponsored space. Educational pages should not quietly become sales pages. The free model is intended to rely on ads, not on hiding the useful path behind affiliate detours.
