2026/27 Tax Year

Free UK Finance Calculators

Thirty-seven carefully-built calculators for the decisions that actually move money in your life. No sign-up, no paywall, no affiliate links. Ads stay out of the main calculator flow. Current 2026/27 UK tax rules are baked in, and every calculator produces a shareable URL so you can send your working to a partner or adviser.

How to use these

Most people use a calculator once, get a single number, and close the tab. That's a waste. The real value of a calculator is in watching the number change as you move an input — that's where you learn which levers matter and which ones are noise.

Every calculator below shows the working, the formula, and the assumptions. Where there's a tax wrinkle (60% trap, dividend allowance, FTB relief cliff, write-off date), it's explained in plain English on the page itself. Nothing is hidden.

If you need the rules before the numbers, start with the Tax Health Check, the First-Time Buyer Guide, the Tax Calendar, or the Self-Employed Toolkit.

Popular starting point

Understand where your salary is going

Build a clean baseline first, then test the pension and student-loan levers that change take-home pay the fastest.

Home buying

Price the real cost of buying your first place

Use the mortgage and stamp-duty tools together so the deposit, monthly payment, and transaction tax all sit in one picture.

Business income

Pick the right route if you freelance or run a company

Work out whether you are modelling self-employed profit, payroll extraction, or dividend planning before you disappear into the wrong tax rule.

Family thresholds

Check the quiet numbers behind Child Benefit and childcare

ANI is the number that decides whether some family support starts leaking away. Use these pages together if a pay rise has brought Child Benefit or childcare rules into view.

Job changes

Check the tax effect of a job ending or a second one starting

Payroll gets messy around notice pay, emergency codes, and second jobs. Use these pages when the question is about what lands in your bank rather than your headline gross pay.

How these calculators work

Every calculator on this site is a single HTML file. The maths runs in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, nothing is tracked, and nothing is stored. Refresh the page and your inputs reset.

Tax rules and thresholds are hard-coded to the 2026/27 UK tax year (updated annually, usually in April when new rates take effect). Where a calculation involves an assumption — an expected return, an inflation rate, a salary growth rate — you can change it. Defaults are deliberately conservative.

These tools are educational. They're not financial advice. They can't know your full circumstances, and no calculator can replace a proper conversation with a regulated adviser when the stakes are high. Use them to build intuition, then check anything important with someone qualified.
